Attn: U8/U10 Updates

Its hard to believe, but we are down to the home stretch of our race season – the weekend of March 11-12 will be the last official weekend of our program and there is one event upcoming that requires some advance planning.

On Saturday, March 11, Mohawk Mountain will be hosting a U10 Festival which is open to all of our U8s and U10s that are interested in participating.  This a fun event that will consist of a GS Race and a SkillsQuest Competition and will be attended by racers from programs all over Massachusetts and Connecticut.  This event is NOT mandatory for our racers, but we want to make sure everyone is aware of the opportunity and we are planning to send a coach with the group (assuming we have interested racers).

If your child is interested in participating, you will need to make sure he or she has a valid US Ski and Snowboard ALPINE COMPETITOR membership.  “Alpine General” Memberships are NOT sufficient for this event.  Memberships can be upgraded on the US Ski and Snowboard website for an additional fee.

Please also do the following:

1 – send Coach Pat an email – pgquinn@me.com– by Wednesday March 1 to let me know if you are interested in participating.  Even if you don’t plant to participate, please send me an email to let me know that so I can keep track

2 – register your child for the event via https://adminskiracing.com/node/470475 – you will need to set up a profile on the site in order to register.  Its important to note that registration is open to the first 150 racers, so please register ASAP if you intend to participate.

Regardless of whether your child is able to make it to the event at Mohawk on 3/11, please know that we are planning to host our last U10/U8 Intraclub race of the season on Sunday March 12 in the Race Arena – details on this event will be forthcoming.
